macOS 13+ · Apple Silicon M1/M2/M3/M4/M5 & Intel Native

Native Brightness & Volume Keys
for External Monitors on Mac.

Apple intentionally disables F1, F2, and volume keys on HDMI & DisplayPort monitors. Displayy brings them back using direct DDC/CI hardware communication over Apple Silicon I2C. No subscriptions. No bloated 50MB frameworks. Just 1.3 MB of pure Swift.

✓ 100% Offline Cryptographic Licensing ✓ Zero Telemetry / Analytics ✓ 0.0% Idle CPU Overhead ✓ One-time $15 Lifetime

Built for macOS Performance & Reliability

Engineered from the ground up specifically for modern Apple Silicon architectures without legacy cruft.

⚡

Native Apple Silicon I2C

Direct hardware access through DCPAVServiceProxy and IOAVService. Sends VCP codes 0x10 (brightness) and 0x62 (volume) straight to the monitor's microcontroller.

🖥️

Virtual Displays (Dummies)

Generate native headless virtual monitors (4K, 1440p, 1080p, Retina) powered by CGVirtualDisplay for crisp OBS streaming, Discord screen share, Moonlight, and Sunshine.

Pixel-Perfect Apple OSD

Genuine frosted-glass macOS bezel HUD with 16 discrete steps. Replaces the annoying disabled symbol with a smooth, responsive indicator synchronized with your physical display.

🌙

Sub-Zero Dimming Fallback

When working in pitch-black environments, Displayy smoothly blends hardware backlight dimming with software gamma shading to reach levels darker than the monitor's minimum hardware limit.

🔒

100% Offline Cryptographic Licensing

Zero calls to remote servers. No recurring subscription checks. Verifies KOON-DSP-PRO_* and universal suite keys locally using cryptographic HMAC-SHA256 signatures.

🪶

Ultra-Lightweight Footprint

At just 1.3 MB and 0.0% idle CPU usage, Displayy doesn't drain your MacBook battery or clutter your menu bar with useless analytics scripts.

Everything You Need to Know

Apple Silicon (M1 through M5) uses Apple's internal Display Coprocessor (DCP). Displayy speaks directly to the low-level DCPAVServiceProxy and IOAVService drivers in macOS, transmitting I2C VCP packets across HDMI, DisplayPort, and Thunderbolt connections without requiring third-party kexts or SIP disabling.

Apple only natively controls the brightness of Apple Studio Displays, Pro Display XDRs, and LG UltraFine displays that use Apple-specific USB vendor controls. Standard PC monitors use the VESA DDC/CI standard, which Apple ignores in the operating system. Displayy bridges this exact gap.

When you purchase Displayy, Lemon Squeezy generates a cryptographically signed key formatted as KOON-DSP-PRO_[SIGNATURE]. Displayy verifies this signature locally using HMAC-SHA256. The app never connects to any licensing server, guaranteeing your privacy and ensuring your software works even with zero internet connectivity.

Make sure DDC/CI is set to "Enabled" in your monitor's on-screen physical buttons. If your monitor doesn't support DDC/CI at all or is plugged into an incompatible adapter, Displayy automatically falls back to our silky-smooth Software Gamma & Dimming engine.
